The historic Walled Gardens at Deene Park dates back the early 18th century when they were built to form the kitchen garden for the main house. Today, the Walled Gardens form a beautiful private event space of vast striped lawns surrounded by the outer historic red brick walls that runs adjacent to our beautiful long border gardens. Accessed through the pretty Chinese Gate, its secluded location adds an enchanting air of secrecy to your special day and is where the wedding marquee and Garden Pavilion can be found.

Garden Pavilion Ceremony

The Garden Pavilion is licensed for Civil Ceremonies and offers you an idyllic outdoor setting for the big moment on your wedding day.

The Georgian inspired design of the Garden Pavilion fits perfectly within the historic Walled Garden at Deene Park. Set with the historic red brick as your backdrop and surrounded with scented white blooms and vast striped lawns, a Garden Pavilion ceremony is the perfect mix of historic elegance and relaxed country charm.

With our ivory Chiavari chairs set in position on the lush lawns, the adaptable space of the Walled garden can seat all your family and friends to witness your vows amongst the beauty of the gardens.

We’ve got it covered! No need to worry about the English weather as our covered option will keep everyone nice and dry during your big moment!

Predinner Drinks

Whether you are tying the knot in our Garden Pavilion or arriving following your church ceremony, you and your guests can enjoy exclusive access to all the formal gardens during your drinks reception. 

Enjoy a glass of fizz and canapes served surrounded by the beauty of the fragrant scented gardens filled with vintage roses and peonies. Enjoy acoustic entertainment as your guests take in the stunning Parterre with its quirky topiary teapots and views of the main house.

Picture perfect at every turn, the never-ending lake views and countless gardens offer you the perfect backdrop for your wedding photo opportunities.

Wedding Marque

The wedding Marquee provides a magical setting within the relaxed atmosphere of the walled garden to enjoy your wedding breakfast – your first meal as a married couple!

The real beauty of our marquee is its versatility, lined with ivory drapes and lit by the glow of chandeliers, it is the perfect blank canvas for you to create your dream wedding celebration.

Light and spacious, the marquee can comfortably seat up to 150 of guests for dining but also perfectly adaptable for more intimate celebrations of 30.

Enjoy your delicious feasts, freshly prepared and served by one of our amazing catering teams, as you wine and dine your way into the evening!
