Entertaining at Deene Park
During the Winter we host family shoots with old friends from far and wide.
Saturday night is always the evening we dress up in Black Tie and feast in the beautifully decorated Dining Room. The ambient peach shade – a late Regency Colour – glows with the light of the candles and the pictures of Lord Cardigan’s hunters, gently grazing, look down on the Happy Diners.
We are fortunate that Lynn has developed a new skill- the art of ironing napkins into the most amazing shapes. There is much use of starch and much hot and heavy ironing involved. We thank her greatly for these.
We were treated and thrilled to see the clever layout on Saturday with evening bags for the ladies and dress shirts for the men! Most of us were loathe to undo the clever artwork but eventually the need for napkins sadly meant we had to!
In addition, Sunday lunch had another oeuvre- the Flamenco – made by her!
